De anza college placement test

I have question about placement test. Actually, I want take a calculus readiness test, but I took a college level math already in last summer and got math 114( I finished trig in H.S). I didn't know that Deanza has calculus test, so I want take calculus level in this spring. Can I take it?

Uhh . If it’s anything like other C.C once you’ve taken a placement test you can’t retake it cause they already have it on record.

And truthfully i looked up Math 114 which is Algebra 2 i don’t know if it’s a good idea to try and get into calculus if your rusty in that matter keep in mind college calculus is a year of high school Calculus in 10-16 weeks

For De Anza you can take the placement test again once every 6 months. I wouldn’t do it if I were you because you got placed into Math 114 which is very low. You should take trig, precal 1, precal 2 before you go to calculus because you will overestimate your ability and get a bad grade.

What does your average community college math placement test consist of? Is it difficult?
