De Anza Lighting for F and TV canceled today

Sucks but oh well, now I need another substitute, and open to suggestions

Which should I take instead then:

Introduction to Media
Introduction to Electronic Music
Introduction to 2D Animation
or African American Cinema

What is your major? Good profs? Are these all left overs? Do you need to squeeze these in order to get financial aid?

If questions 2, 3 and 4 fit you, then my suggestion would be to get on the waitlist first then decide later, as one class is not certain enough. I was on your boat two days ago, but luckily I devised a plan. Anyway, good luck!

Primary major at De Anza is Photography, secondary major is F/TV Production.

The F/T faculty within these departments at De Anza are all top notch.

Classes listed are the ones that are full but not fully wait listed yet that I need/want.

I have excessive units (300+) so don’t qualify for Financial Aid but but desire ~15 units.

I have a late library book fee that is preventing me from adding/waitlisting classes.

Even though don’t need it, I think I’m going to go with Intro to Electronic Music with Mitchell. He may be boring to fresh out of HS students but to me is just what I want and need to help me. I attend college to learn so show up to all my classes and do well. If I can’t get added to the MW class, I’m sure I can get add his Friday class. Second choice would be 3D Animation not 2D, which was my mistake. I have my IGETC completed but would need African American Cinema for De Anza’s ICS requirement plus UCLA likes to see it.

I’d rather take Lighting for Film and TV with Zarchy anyways, who is one of the best DP’s in the bay area, over an unknown staff member. He is supposedly teaching next spring and hopefully isn’t tied up at SFSU that won’t be able to teach at De Anza.

Do you know when we should have books? I mean, for classes in general. I’d be doomed if I don’t have books.
