I've signed a TAG requirement with UCDAVIS. It says on the tag that I have to finish ewert 2 ( Critical Reading, Writing and thinking ) before transferring to the school.

however my question is: If i'm not doing the IGETC. why do i need critical reading, writing and thinking english requirement? Can't i fulfill the English requirement with EWert 1B? (Reading, writing and research)?

I prefer doing ewert 1B. If they DO satisfy the same area and NOT because ewert 2 satisfies an area that ewert 1 B doesn't . Can i just write that on my planned courses?

2 more days. SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HELPPPPP

Area UC-E - English Composition
EWRT 1A Composition and Reading
EWRT 1B Reading, Writing and
* EWRT 1C Literature and Composition
EWRT 2 Critical Reading, Writing
PHIL 3 Critical Thinking and
SPCH 9 Argumentation: Analysis of

as long as I complete two of those I'm set, right?

I go to foothill but my lab partner says he's in sort of the same predicament; he took ewrt 1 at de anza, then eng 1B at foothill ( which is the second english you would take) and now he says he's having problems as he supposedly needs ewrt 2 instead of 1b.

does anyone know the reason as to WHy?

BUMPPPPPP

anyone?

EWRT 2 is more flexible. It involves more critical thinking as well. I wanted to certify IGETC at Foothill College, but I only took EWRT 2 at De Anza, and that disqualifies me because Foothill requires EWRT 1B. Thus, I don't think the two courses are anywhere equivalent to each other when it comes to satisfying pre-reqs.
