DEAD dealine?

How absolutely dead is Yale's deadline? I am especially thinking about things other than what we do; teacher forms, and my particular problem - research advisor. Fairly major part of my app (paid, published research...) but the lady who supervised me is very very busy so... Not sure if she will have time. Not so sure what to do; fairly confident that the rest of my app could carry it, but this is a good thing to have (and cmon - what is fairly confident when it comes to Yale). Will they consider it for EA if it arrives on the 3rd, 4th, 5th . . . .?

Cheers, off to finish some essays...

Quote from Yale website:

“Teacher recommendations and your School Report may be sent before or after you submit your Common Application and Yale Supplement. Materials that arrive before your application will be kept on file until your application is received. We understand that it may not be possible in some cases for teachers and counselors to meet our deadlines, and we will make reasonable allowances for late school documents.”

Focus on your app. After a week or two of inventory they will confirm (by a status-check Website) whether or not they are in receipt of the items that are not entirely in your control, like transcripts and letters. If some are missing they will give you a chance to supply them.

One further suggestion: try to get your app done by tomorrow evening as the Common App server gets extremely busy the day or two before major deadlines. Last minute submissions risk encountering server lag or downtime.

Thanks guys.

Is that leniancy applied to EA as well? I though that considering that they only have 6 weeks or so they may be more strict. But whatever they may provide, it is not a door closing at 11:59 1/11 which is all I really wanted to know.

Yeah, good advice. Will try get it done tonight, revise, re___ re___ etc and sent tomorrow.

Yes, the leniency extends to SCEA applicants.
