deadline for hep B shot

I'm really excited about going to UCLA this fall but I had many problems getting the Hep B vaccination. I finally got the first shot today. Is this too late; may I still enroll.

hmm if you got the first shot today, you'll be getting the last one in October sometime, which is past the September deadline to show proof of vaccination. http://www.studenthealth.ucla.edu/nbhepb.htm
you should probably call the school and see what you should do about this.

This only for students under 18 right?
Anyway I have got it.

Thanks a lot Freebird, great help! can somebod please answer my question.

Sorry, just had 6 hours of continuous exams, I just wasn't thinking right.
Send the admin. office at ucla an email and them what you have to do.

The ones from 7th-8th grade are fine, right? I don't need a booster?

^^ yeah, i just submitted the online verification form thing using the completion date form my 7th grade one.

no you don't need boosters for Hep B vaccination - it renders a lifetime immunity
and no, freebird - everyone needs to get the vaccine.

thank you much

I downloaded this from: http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/soc/register.htm I think this means I'm safe.

Hepatitis B Vaccine Requirement:

The California State Legislature requires as a condition of enrollment that students 18 years and younger demonstrate immunity from hepatitis B. The Ashe Center offers the hepatitis B vaccine to eligible students. Students who have not had the vaccine should start the series before their first term begins. Because this is a state requirement, students who have not completed the immunization series and submitted proof of completion to the Ashe Center by the time their third term begins will have a hold placed on their records.

Proof of compliance with the requirement is electronic through the Ashe Center website at http://www.studenthealth.ucla.edu.

hmm thats odd - freebird, my apologies, it appears I was wrong. I thought it was a requirement of everyone...
