<p>When's the deadline for submission online? I've sent in all the letters and stuff, just not part 2 of the app. Is there a certain time of day it has to be in by?</p>

<p>the convention is midnight. i wouldn’t test it however. i am currently procrastinating in (not at!) butler, which does not make it okay. finish the stupid application! (in saying this, i am really telling myself to finish my stupid english essay.) you’re superman! (i, in fact, am superman). okay, i’m done with you (with myself).</p>

<p>First person we spoke to said midnight 10/31 but didn’t seem too certain, so we asked for a doublecheck. She came back to the phone with midnight Eastern time 11/1. But given the uncertainty, we’re not so sure about that either.</p>
<p>If it were due on 10/31, the deadline would state 10/31. It’s due on 11/1. In the absence of a stated time, it would stand to reason that it’s due ANY time on 11/1. The only possible variable would be the time zone. You should submit it by midnight on 11/1 in your time zone. (It is, however, possible that they will accept it as long as it is midnight or sooner in any time zone–as U. of Chicago does. But I don’t recommend testing that.)</p>

<p>Puleeze. The deadline is November 1st. According to the website–this means postmarked by November 1st. If you are filing online, that means, logically, midnight (EST) November 1st. Pushing these things up to the deadline is foolhardy.</p>

<p>They are keeping up the application database up until the end of the week even though applications are due 11/1. Whatever that means. I talked to the tech support person this morning.</p>
