Deadline for SAT and ACT Scores

Is there a general guideline of when to send SAT or ACT score reports?

On both websites, they claim to take at least two weeks (one week for processing, one week to get delivered to the college to get processed). Do you recommend a “deadline” for each testing company?

I am apply ED/EA and I send ACT in on Sunday and SAT in today. That is 2 weeks and a day before the deadline. Did I make it?

I don’t know about others but I had no idea we were to send in test scores much earlier than the deadline colleges use for ED/EA/RD.

You’ll be fine. Two weeks is on the high end of the time required. It’s usually one.

You should be safe on all accounts. First most colleges with ED or EA Nov 1 application deadlines actually accept test scores that arrive after Nov 1 and many, like Penn, the college it appears is your ED choice, even accept Nov SAT test scores. Even for the small number that require scores to be in their hands by Nov 1, yours will be delivered by then under usual send times (which are generally fairly short these days since scores are sent electronically and the send date is also the delivery date)

I was actually wondering about this too. I just sent my scores in today but college board told me I can’t send in my October SAT scores until they come out on the 27th. Is this going to be an issue?

@timothy786 Did you make use of the free score reports? I think CB will send those scores in faster than if you were to request score reports after scores are available. I think some schools can let you take a screenshot of the scores after the November deadlines…you should check

@penngirlpending no I did not use the free score reports :(. How could I find out about the screenshots?
