<p>Can I still update the recs/school report section of common app after the deadline for the schools have passed?</p>

<p>You can go ahead and submit your applications once you have assigned all the required recommenders. You don’t have to wait for the recs and school report to show up as being submitted before you complete and submit the rest of the application. </p>
<p>The deadlines usually mean “postmarked by,” meaning recommendations and school report can arrive (by mail or online) up to about 3 business days later. Some schools allow even more time than that for receipt of the recommendations and reports, but it varies from school to school.</p>
<p>My teachers won’t be back until the 3rd of Jan, hopefully this is enough time? </p>
<p>So I guess the most important thing right now is finishing all the essays and hitting the submit button(s)?</p>
<p>I actually joined this forum to ask the same question. I can go ahead and submit my CommonApp early and my teachers can submit their recs at a later date?</p>
