<p>I have applied to W&M (was accepted) and UVA (still waiting). However, W&M's postmark deadling for accepting their offer is the exact date that UVA said that their decisions would be out. I am wondering if anyone has ever been in this situation and if so - what could I do to deal with this. Id like to have atleast a few days to talk with my parents about it, knowing that im accepted to both schools.</p>

<p>you can ask for an extension to make your decision... they will either say 'yes' or 'no'... and then you can go from there.</p>
<p>Are you instate? If so, then the money part should be not be a deal breaker. Although it might seem counterproductive to assume that you are admitted to both schools, why don't you think exactly that way. You should be weighing the pros and cons NOW, not when the letter comes.</p>
<p>Why is there even a question? Why would anyone not want to go to the university that educated the founder of the University of Virginia, Mr. Jefferson, another example of a caring and selfless William & Mary alumnus helping those who cannot help themselves?</p>
