Hey,

I'm currently at a community college but I want to Transfer to UGA and get into their Terry Business school for Business Mgmt. and Music Business Certificate.

But I noticed a bit of a problem with the deadlines. UGA deadline is sometime in March or April and I can fill out an extension form so that I can get final grades at the end of this semester.

But the Terry college deadline is January 20th. I also need to take a test and write an essay I think.

But I cannot apply to Terry until I'm a UGA student. And I won't be a UGA student until after final grades and I get accepted (we have TAG agreement, we're a feeder school).

So does this mean that there is NO CHANCE of me getting into the business school for fall semester? When I transfer I'll have an associate degree and all of my regular classes out of the way so all I'll need is the business and music business classes. So I won't have any other classes to take to fill time. I can't take those classes until I'm accepted into both programs.

So what should I do?

I was planning on taking Calculus summer semester (need it for business school..doing pre-cal this semester), so should I just stay at the CC this year..doing calculus next semester and transfer for next spring semester? (Don't want to do calculus at UGA because CC is cheaper...I don't want to pay all that money for one class)

Can I apply to the UGA this year, get accepted and just not take any UGA classes fall semester without getting dropped? Then I can apply to the business school for next spring semester. But I don't know if students are allowed to be accepted and then skip a semester.

Advice please!
