Deadline moved to Jan 15 - Honors too?

It appears that because of the hurricane, Delaware has extended the deadline from Dec 1 to Jan 15th.

Is there any reason not to believe that the deadline has also been extended for consideration of the Honors application too?

We just want to make sure before D puts the application off until Christmas vacation. She's waiting on an ED from another school anyway, and she would just as soon not waste her time.

Yes, Jan 15 will get same consideration as Dec 1. Annoying, my kid had no idea deadline was extended, submitted this week and paid application fee (would have waited to hear from ED school) then got email saying deadline was extended 6 weeks. It looks like he got an email last week or so reminding him to get his app in b/c deadline was Dec 1.

Extending the deadline 6 weeks due to the hurricane is a bit much. Disappointing for those who applied already to have to wait that much longer, esp with other schools rolling out earlier than expected responses.

Yes, my kid reminded teachers and guidance the week before the Oct 29 storm he really needed to get stuff in for Nov 1 deadline cause we figured electricity would go off, everything was done by Oct 27. We had electricity back by end of week but by then some of the colleges had extended deadlines for weeks for everyone. But if you haven’t applied yet the colleges might not have your contact info to tell you deadline was extended. Several colleges had specifically said at info sessions that they DO NOT extend deadlines so get your stuff in early and gave the example of the October 28 (?) 2011 East Coast storm preventing applicants from getting Nov 1 applications in on time. Oh well.

Does anybody know if the notification date is now later, or if Delaware is expected to release around the same time?

I asked several folks at U of D admissions and though it was not clear, they are firm that the notification date has been and remains March 15 and there is no benefit for priority application this year as had been expected.
