<p>Does that mean that the office needs to have it on file by Jan 15, or does it mean postmarked by Jan 15?</p>

<p>You can always e-mail or call the school to verify, but I've always believed it meant postmarked by...</p>

<p>I think it's postmarked by for domestic mail, received by for international mail. But you should call the individual school and check.</p>
