Deadlines 2nd january, but my SAT is 28th january?

I have a problem. I am doing the SAT 28th january, but the universities I am thinking of applying to have deadlines in the beginning of january. Is this a problem, or can my SAT scores reach the universities later? I haven't even thought about SAT II yet... I should probably do that too? (i'm international and our school system here is different).
Also, is this correct: the earlier the application deadline, the better the university..? Seems like all the top schools have really early deadlines.

I'm not sure how I could help; it may be too late to do anything regarding this, but about the only thing I could suggest is to contact admissions staff at the universities to which you are applying. Did you try taking the SAT earlier?

As far as the relation between deadlines and quality of university, I've found the exact opposite to be true. Of the nine schools I applied to, the last four in terms of deadlines were the most selective (three of them Ivies).

All I know is Stanford has everyone beat with a Dec 15 deadline. Just, wow.

So, should I just wait for next year? Or go to a CC? But from CC it's hard to transfer to IVY's?

Check the college undergraduate admissions website. Many will list information regarding the last eligible test date for the SAT and ACT.

I think all the schools accept January test dates as the last ones.

Not all schools do. I know that Stanford doesn't; the last SAT score they accept is December.

The best thing to do is to check the websites of the colleges you're applying to. I had this problem too and I did exactly that. If the websites say nothing about this, email them. Yale and Princeton accept January test scores.

Also, just a heads-up: I'm also an international student without any SATs. You can't take the SAT I and the SAT II on the same day. Since you're taking the January SAT I, it's highly unlikely that you're able to take the SAT II in time for consideration.

I really hope that someone in the know can correct me on this, because this basically leaves me with one non-option of Yale and there's no way in hell I can get into Yale. Yale lets you replace the SAT subjects with your A Levels (or IB, or whatever; check their website) and of all the Ivys I checked saving for Harvard, Yale is the only school that lets you do that.

So, I dunno. Your options are pretty limited. And I know how much that sucks; I'm kicking myself for not taking the SAT subjects earlier. Sigh.
