Deadlines dillema

I'm a US citizen living in KSA and I've had enough of this deadlines dillema I'm in:
The University of Texas at Dallas states that the deadline for US citizens and residents is 7/01/2011.
The University of Texas at Austin states that the deadline for US citizens and residents is 12/01/2010.
How can there be such a difference ? Is there something I misunderstood?
And if I were to apply to the University of Texas at Austin, can I take the SAT in December and tell them that my results are pending?

Austin is the state’s flagship univeristy and like most major colleges has a deadline in the fall to early Jan. Dallas, like many state colleges that serve more the local geographical area than the whole state and are not the flagship, accept applications much later. However, it is highly advise that you apply earlier rather than later to those having those very late deadlines because they will making decisions on most applicants by no later than spring of your senior year in high school and you face the possibility of being rejected if you wait until later to apply if programs already filled.

Austin’s app deadline is not its test score deadline. It accepts through the Dec tests so you do not have to specifically tell them you are taking the Dec test. However, it wants those test results by end of December and says to acheive that you must list Austin as a college to automatically receive scores as part of your registration for the test so they are sent as soon as they are released. In other words, you must send them blind and not wait to order a send until after you learn of the score.

Nope, I checked it out. You’re right about the deadlines. I wouldn’t wait until July to turn in your application, though. Send them in together, and then, yes, tell UT-Austin that your SAT scores are pending. You should call and ask them first if that would be okay, though actually.
