Would anyone here know when exactly the deadline kicks in within CA? I noted in the Knowledgebase that all dates / times in CA are stored in GMT. Does this mean the deadline is reached once the clock turns past midnight in GMT? If this is the case for CA applicants in North America clearly there is an added challenge as GMT is ahead.

In an ideal world the deadlines should follow applicants local timezone but I'm sure this is not the case here. Just need to know so I can make sure we don't bust through the deadline. And yes, we are cutting it real close... Yayy!

Thanks for any clarification you might have.

I saw this on Common App Facebook Page today which answers my question :

“With many students submitting tonight, we want to answer a common question about deadlines: Your deadline is 11:59 PM your local time. All submission timestamps display as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). GMT is currently 4 hours ahead of Eastern Time.”

So I guess its good news for those last minute submitters. Good luck to all!!!
