There have been a number of recent threads about students "missing" the ED Priority filing date for the Profile....and wanting to know what to do. Some have missed this deadline by over two weeks.

First...no one can really tell you the consequences of a late Profile submission except the college. Contact the college and they will tell you what will happen.

Second, those deadlines have been posted since September or earlier on the college websites. It is not the fault if the schools if you are late. Some schools will work with you...and others will not.

Third...if you completed the admissions application, you should have done ALL other submissions at the same time...including that Profile to meet the ED Priority deadline....in my opinion.

Fourth...if the school tells you they cannot send you a financial aid award with your ED acceptance, you should consider switching your application to Regular Decision. When you receive an ED acceptance, you have a very short window in which to accept or decline the admission. Some schools will extend your deadline if they are close to getting your financial aid award completed. Others simoly will not.

Fifth. Look at the deadlines for your RD schools and do NOT miss them, not even by a day.
