deadlines...

Hi everyone. I'm an out-of-state senior and I probably won't send in my application until around November 1st. So will this considerably hurt me? (since i've read that apps should be sent asap?)

It depends on your stats. If you are a perfect candidate, it won't hurt you. But if you are a typical applicant, you may want to apply a little before.

yeah I mean my friend with a 4.0 and 34 act and some math ECs applied in january and got some money too, but his gpa and act were high.

alot of people make the mistake of thinking their ECs will cancel out low gpa; it won't.

make that decision based on how you think your stats look compared to how smart you are; if you think you can do better it changes things because you might do better on another act, etc.

i say apply now though. all it takes is one bored 36act kid who just applies to UM on a whim to take your place at the school.
