Dealing with a stalker during work study...

What if it is the weirdo boy writing in, posting as MODERNraha?.. creepy.

Thank you for all your replies. The detailed message that I shared about the encounter was exactly what I wrote to the Dean of Students. When I returned to work my boss told me to work in the back office for a while (even though I am a receptionist/student assistant). I missed a call today (friday) to hear the recommendations from the dean of students, so I have to wait until monday. This past wednesday evening I worked another campus job in our student center, but before work I stopped one of the first security gaurds I saw to get more advice about the situation. I was slightly upset that from last week about my report nothing was documented…from the day of the pervertd talk to him coming to an event and then coming to my job again after he was told not too…they finally documented everything…and they went around the clock to make sure I felt safe. I was told the boy was sent a letter and that his Residentail Advisor spoke with him, that he was not allowed to enter the student center AT ALL. I dont know if he was evaluated by the psychiatrist or counselor yet, but the counseling center is in the student center at my school…I hope residential life figured out what to do. As long as I don’t see the guy I will feel better. Again I appreciate your comments.

darko21…why r u being so critical when you dont know what has taken place…When I posted the first message the dean had not responded with any recommendations…as indicated in my last response. So I wanted to get a some advice from the public… I brought is situation up with my friends, but that just made them uncomfortable, because they are my peers oncampus too. In any event…if this boy was not mentally ill, I would have simply contacted public safety for them to make him leave and I am certain that person would have understood not to come by me again. But this boy did not take their recommendation from tuesday evening and decided to come back to my job the next day to apologize…even though he was told not to come near me let alone my job…

I was not making this person out to be a weirdo. I was only seeking advice about the nature of the event because I had mixed feelings about the security actions I took against this boy since he was mentally challenged. To me, his preception of what he is saying and what he is doing is all over the place as if he is in another world. Should he be kicked out of school? no, unless he says or does anything like that again. I can appreciate a diverse crowd of people, but not when one of those people make me feel uncomfortable when they know (or have some idea) they should not be saying such vulgar things… (this boy never said anything like this to anyone else on campus…to my knowledge)

Glad to hear your school stepped up and did the right thing. As stated, his wanting to apologize is just to manipulate another encounter. Keep your guard up. Good luck, stay safe.
