you CAN control what you stress over. put it in perspective -if you or a loved one were dieing, would ANYTHING matter?

Here is a little story to help you get the idea.
A man and his wife buy a new car. A week later, as they go to get in and drive it to the mall, they notice its doors have been smashed in…repairs will be costly. the wife starts freaking out and crying, “It’s ruined! We worked so hard for this!” the man is just peacefully standing there. “Why aren’t you mad?!” his wife demanded. “Because,” her husband continued, it already ready happened, it’s out of our control, and there’s nothing we can do to prevent it from happening now. There’s no point in stressing over something that was meant to happen."

Hope that helps! I always think of this when I’m stressed! :)

But I started playing Club Lacrosse in the summer and now I’m playing Varsity Lacrosse with school and I have to say, even though I get home a couple hours later than I used to I feel amazingly unstressed when I do.

Between the running (which I used to hate but now I kinda enjoy) and the positive environment with all the other LAX girls, I am zen.

So, my advice is trying something new.

It worked for me and I couldn’t be happier.

Maybe painting for the non-artistic? Drawing for the readers? When you pick up something you’ve never tried before you don’t really have expectations to be fulfilled. There’s a guarantee that you’re not going to be perfect at it, so why not just not be perfect? Its nice to find an outlet for your mistakes and frustrations.

Hope that helps.

P.S. I haven’t had practice in a few weeks and I’ve become the worst procrastinator because I have so much time. I can’t wait till season starts just so I will have motivation to finish my work!

Sometimes, when you are EXTREMELY overwhelmed, just crying helps out a lot. I know it sounds sort of weird, but once in a while, it helps to just get it out. Not that you should go home and ball for hours everyday, but just for a short period of time once in a while when you feel really overwhelmed.
