Funny you mention this - I’ve been stunned by how much paper/cardboard my kids have received. An absolutely enormous stack, from every school/level imaginable. I’d have thought that that essay from a few years back wherein the kid calculated the total postal cost, environmental cost, etc. of mailing all that crap to all those kids would’ve meaningfully cut down on the total. Maybe it’s not as bad as it was…but wow. Sad.
BTW OP: create an email address for use on all college stuff…test registration, school tours, etc.
I have 3 large shoeboxes of mailers so far. I actually prefer the mail to email. It helps me to have something tangible although 1 mailer from each school would be sufficient. I plan to go through them all again this summer when I’m making my final list. And yes, I have received mail and email from schools where I have no shot of acceptance.
