<p>Have any students received letters from College of arts and Sciences for getting on the Dean’s List? Do they send the letter to your home or to your mailbox at school??? Is there a published list somewhere?</p>
<p>Daughter obtained a 3.8 average this semester and didn’t receive any notification from Arts and Sciences for the Dean’s List. What is going on possibly???</p>
<p>They will send out a letter, they just haven’t published the list yet. Once they do, it will show on the transcript as well (you can check this by going into the online transcript function on the my.american portal).</p>

Who gets you on the Dean’s List, if you were a freshman and declared a major at the very end of the 2nd semester and your academic advisor has been changed, you never met them and they haven’t been assigned yet? Would your old freshman academic advisor nominate you???</p>
<p>Everyone gets on the deans list for getting a 3.5 and up – no one has to nominate you.</p>
<p>Even if you’re still considered undeclared that automatically places you in the College of Arts and Sciences, so you’d be placed on the Dean’s List for that school.</p>
