How/when do you know if you made the Dean’s list? I thought I would’ve made it this semester with a 3.95 but I didn’t get an email or anything. If I had made it would I already know? Sorry if it’s a dumb question.
My daughter’s school just has the designation appear on her transcript. I don’t think she got an email.
@klf1120 : Good job, but be more concerned about doing an honors thesis and stuff. That is how you get Latin honors at Emory (Emory doesn’t do Latin Honors by GPA, remember that! The cut-off to do a thesis is like 3.5 so a 3.5 student can indeed get Summa Cum Laude at Emory). Intellectually oriented endeavors seem more celebrated than near perfect GPAs by most award (both departmental and school wide. Largely because decent/high GPAs are a dime a dozen in many departments) options at Emory, so celebrate for now, but don’t get too caught up in a Dean’s List designation. I’m sure you have or will have many more important achievements! Definitely off to an excellent start as a transfer student(?) ! And yes, it typically appears on the transcript.
