Yes there is. Each college maintains a Dean's List. There are also Latin Honors, and various honor societies, e.g. Phi Beta Kappa.</p></li>
<li><p>What GPA do you need to maintain to get on it?
For Dean's list, Steinhardt requires 3.7, CAS and Stern 3.65. Others I don't know.
For Latin Honors on your Diploma, Cum Laude 3.5, Magna Cum Laude 3.7, and Summa Cum Laude 3.9</p></li>
<li><p>There used to be also Departmental Honors on the Diploma, e.g. John Doe, Magna Cum Laude, with Highest Honors in (..insert your major here...). I don't know if they still do this.</p></li>
