What are the average stats of Deans scholarship (1/4 tuition) recipients? Do I have a chance at getting that scholarship? (I am asking because I don't think I have a good chance at a Trustee or Presidential scholarship)
GPA: UW 3.95/W 4.66
SAT 2110 M:780 CR:650 W:650
SATII: Math2: 740 Chem: 690
Not many EC's, but 50+ hours of community service.
I plan on taking the ACT in October and my goal is to get a 33 or hopefully 34.
I would appreciate any feedback as I don't think I could go to USC without at least the $10,000 scholarship.

USC does not publish the average stats of scholarship recipients. Approximately 25% of the entering class Fall 2010 was awarded a merit scholarship, so a good guess would be students in the top 25% of the applicant pool. What makes it hard to predict is that USC awards some of their Trustee, Presidential and Dean’s scholarships to applicants who stand out is other ways and may not have what would be considered tippy-top stats.

See the 2008, 2009, and 2010 stats threads linked in the http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/952301-new-applicant-toolkit.html to find posts from students awarded those scholarships, and for the 2010 Freshman profile to see what would be the top 25% of applicants.

Good luck!
