I recently got accepted to my first-choice major in the College of Natural Sciences. But I heard that Deans Scholars kind of sucks (plus it's really hard to get into), and that the sciences aren't that great at UT. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Otherwise I'm pretty sure that I want to switch my first-choice major to my original second-choice major in the College of Liberal Arts (undecided), do Plan II, and possibly apply for McCombs and BHP. Any advice? Is it even possible to switch majors easily now?

This is a re-post from a month ago but I didn't get my questions answered.
And another question: Anyone going to the Natural Sciences thing this Friday?

yeah it's really easy. I just emailed them when I wanted to switch from Natural Science to Liberal Arts. It took a couple of days for them to email me back and said that it's done.

Well, you're going to have to remember that McCombs is the most competitive school at UT. And Plan II is the most competitive honors program. I'm in both.

BHP is extremely hard to get into as well, but they DO NOT take a holistic approach. You MUST have the class rank, test scores, and leadership.

I'm just warning you that this may be a battle - but go with your gut feeling.

Because of the weather and school closings, I've rescheduled to attend the event on January 26th. Are you still going tomorrow?

I think the average SAT at BHP was like 1440/1600. Insanity.
