<p>If I remember correctly, you are supposed to describe a personal experience that reveals something about your character. Don't make it an introduction of yourself - it should be more of an anecdote, I think.</p>
<p>dukeclassof09 is correct. It's not intended to actually be like a letter introducing yourself to a roommate. It's more like a personal experience or anecdote, some part of your character that might not come out in the other essays. My son who was admitted wrote about a necklace he got while on an exchange trip to Japan, but then lost at Scout Camp, and what it meant to him. My wait-listed son wrote about his love of sandwiches. So this is a chance to discuss something less weighty than the other essays, but still something that reveals your character.</p>
