Pretty much, I just want to know what you guys got on your SAT and SAT IIs. I also want to know which AP courses (Or IB, but my school doesn't offer that so I honestly have no idea what that is) you guys took per grade in high school. Sorry if I'm being a pain.

Thanks in advance though. :]

Thanks! But most posts there didn’t include which GRADE they took such APs, which is what I’m mainly interested about (I’m still trying to figure out which courses I should take for Junior year).

^Take the hardest schedule possible…
After all it is Harvard.

That information would be far more revealing of the schools from which many acceptees come from than of Harvard’s admissions practices. Just take the most challenging schedule you can handle, which is ideally the most challenging schedule that you can sign up for.

Well the thing is I don’t know if it’s worth sacrificing a decent chunk of my GPA to take the hardest AP classes possible. So I was wondering if people who took some easier AP classes and got higher GPAs instead of going all out were accepted into top institutions such as Harvard.

This last semester I received an A in AP bio, psych, USH, WH, and Calc BC. You just have to sacrifice some time hanging out, but in the log run it’s worth it!

yeah, so junior I took it pretty light on the APs. I took AP american history and AP language and composition, along with honors physics and precalculus managed to get A’s in all. Then senior year came around and I thought what the heck i should challenge myself and took a ridiculous amount of aps: ap econ macro, ap econ micro, ap calculus ab, ap biology, ap literature, ap latin vergil. It was definitely difficult and I suffered greatly in calculus and literature, but i think taking all those challenging things helped to show I can do a rigorous schedule.

It’s better to take the hardest APs possible and not sacrifice your GPA.

Frankly, although this is relative, maintaining a good GPA with even the hardest courseload available at any school should not be very hard if you are Harvard material.
