Pacers I agree completely. I hated this essay more than anything at first, but as I went on it quickly turned into my favorite essay of any college I applied to. You have the opportunity to be creative, finally, which is awesome.

Okay, I am sorry to switch it up on you guys like this, but would any of you be willing to read my common app essay instead? It is 551 words at the moment, and it too will be going to Umich so. Yeah. Sorry to keep bugging you guys with these things, every one on this forum just seems to be unusually helpful. :)

Let me know and I will PM it over:)

To everyone who was nice enough to read my shorter essay…I just got back from Michigan…“Take this essay as an opportunity to elaborate on an EC…don’t write about some sort of fan community…” Lovely. I will now start a generic as all hell “This is one of my awesome leadership positions and that is how i helped that club” essay. gag. Personally I think an essay that can discuss something meaningful to you but also something bigger than the thing itself can be very useful. Instead, I will most likely end up rehashing something that can easily be seen on my resume, such as Key Club State Lt. Governor. Self-explanatory if you ask me…But because I am a huge chicken, I will not take any risks, other than the risk of boring the hell out of an adcom who has seen essays about extra currics 30000 times in a row…

Sorry. I am very bitter.

Anyway, that is where that stands. Thank you guys for putting the time in anywho…:(
