I follow UCD on twitter, and I tweeted them asking when will they send out the decisions for transfer students, and they said between late March and mid April. Lets pray and keep our fingers crossed for them!! :)

^ that’s has been said at least 10 times throughout the various threads. lol I guess it never hurts to hear it again ! ( or does it? feeels like forever :-/)

I don’t remember who said it, but honestly, the only real reason I am considering going to UC Berkeley is because of its prestige. I know that all of the times I visited it I had fun, but those were few and far between. Nothing to really base the next two years off of. I have been really thinking about it and I think that UCLA is the place for me. It was the one place that I really felt comfortable.

Weird for me because I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Cal, but not that it’s getting time to make the decision, I’m finding myself not to keen to the idea anymore. I feel like the only reason I ever wanted to go there in the first place was because the school’s name holds a lot of value. More importantly though, I feel like it’s the Grad schools at UCB that I would rather go to than anything else.

Either, good luck to all of you getting into where you want!

I’m turning down Cal or La -or both- to go to UCSD or UCD :-b … Only reason I applied was to not be the only in the fam who didn’t get in/go to either of those schools ! hahaa

i know this is really steering away from the current discussion but, does anyone know how can i update my spring courses for my transfer application? i already filled out the update form that was due january 31 but i didnt even start picking my classes until afterwards & it turns out i got completely different classes than what i had initially submitted. i saw on the school site that there was a link for it on the myadmissions web page but i didnt see that link at all. now im really stressing about it because i feel as if it might change my admissions chances. any insight on this would be great. thank you!

there is no update for spring courses, you should email the UC’s admissions office and tell them what coursework youre taking in the spring.

Someone posted on pg. 1 that UC Davis decisions will be out on March 23. Seriously?
Are you talking about transfer decisions?

-Brazil

I hope so! I talked to a rep that came to UC Davis at my CCC yesterday and she said most of the decisions will be out by April…she said my GPA is so-so and I have an OK chance since Design is not a popular major there unless a whole bunch of other people applied for the design program for Fall 2010 along with me…

Where do you find the information that lists the impacted majors at UC Davis?? Or even other UCs for that matter…

It better be March 23, or else I will be very disappointed. This whole month of march seems to be going in slow motion!! UCD is my 1st choice! =]

I asked someone in admissions and they said " first week of april" so, who knows. This whole waiting game frustrate me =(. Sidenote, I’ll be visiting davis next month!

Last year UC Davis was admitting transfer students at around this time. We would’ve found out by now had it been the same for this year! Why must they torture us with waiting?! But the same time, even if I don’t get in, I am still pretty excited about Sac State!

Are they notifying some of us tomorrow or is that date for freshmen?

Heres what it says when I login to my portal to check the status:

"Your application has been received and is currently being reviewed by our Undergraduate Admissions staff.

We will send you an official admission decision notice and post your admission decision on MyAdmissions when it becomes available. Freshman decisions will be sent beginning in late March. Transfer decisions will be sent beginning in late April. Please be patient and permit us time to complete a thorough evaluation."

Looks like we will be waiting till late April

Can anyone confirm that they will be releasing decisions tomorrow? Some scrub mentioned it on the first page, but it seems most info given on here is wrong.

why do you guys want to go to davis… yuck. maybe its because im from sacramento and do NOT want to be in this area anymore.

good luck!

^^im from sac UCD is my safety definitely. I would prefer not going there. besides who the hell does davis think they are? having decisions come out the same time as ucla & cal. if im in at ucla before davis im not even bothering to check my admissions status.

Davis isn’t that bad, it’s rankings are decent and it’s about 60 miles from SF. I remember how hot and nasty it got when I lived in folsom but, I really don’t think i’d mind it all that much. No matter where I end up, I’ll be leaving los angeles.

that scrub has a name you know! emilsinclair9.

Although, he could redeem himself if Davis does release their admission tomorrow.

@SFwarrior25 do you think Davis is trying too hard to be like UCLA or Berkeley? Because even UCSD (which is ranked higher than Davis) already posted their decisions!!! ARGHHHHHH

And I actually love the city of Davis, even though I am from the sac area. Elk Grove is starting to bore me. That city is more for kids and families. Davis is more for people our age. And it is also closer to San Francisco. I don’t think I mesh well with oppressively hot weather though.
