Dear UC Davis

davis is a really nice place for older people^not younger (IMO) sure the university brings plenty of youth in, but a majority of long term residents are post graduates that dont want to leave davis. so you end up with tons of old farts and ex Aggies.

plus the whole town smells like cow *****. like bad.

Only Freshmen acceptances will be announced today.

oh dear…

on the other hand, I can’t wait to see all hell break loose on the UC transfer forum when the decisions for Berkeley/UCLA come out. LOL

@ girlyshout: Thanks for clearing my good name. Being referred to as a scrub is certainly not a compliment.

@ Quentin: I spoke with the UCD admissions rep and he said March 23. I’m sorry if that was in any way inaccurate. We still have to see for sure later today though. If, indeed, March 23 is not the date, then I’m sorry for misguidedly posting false information.

Btw I wouldn’t trash talk over something as petty as this. I mean the admissions for Davis should really start coming out any time now (if not today), and regardless of when they are released, it won’t affect your admission.

If you are so nervous and anxious about your chances that you are pointing fingers at somebody who actually took the initiative to speak in person to a UCD rep at my school, then clearly you are not confident in your chances or ability to achieve what you desire.

I wish you luck, but don’t displace your anxiety on me, man. I was just trying to post what I was told and nothing more.

Trash talk? No, more like using common internet jargon to address someone whose username I didn’t even glance over so it can hardly be a personal attack, but it’s interesting you took it as one to the extent to create some pseudo psycho babble about anxiety and anxiousness loll. I’m not nervous about getting into UCD, but thanks for your concern ;)

emilsinclair9 - You dug yourself a hole by sounding so confident on page 1. You had everyone believing false information. I’m not saying transfer decisions won’t come out today, but it seems unlikely. Taking the initiative to speak to a rep doesn’t count for anything and is irrelevant in this situation because it’s useless information you’re giving us. I think people are more irritated with the fact that you were so positive about March 23rd and were wrong and not that your info wasn’t correct.

I looked at last year and transfer decisions came out in the middle of March. I’d still be surprised if they released as early as today though.

Why would Davis even project that they will be releasing decisions in late April, only to be releasing them in late March

isnt the post before for freshman??

They did it last year, bme.

I didn’t get a decision yet, but apparently freshman decisions came out not long ago minutes ago.

yeah, whoever it was who talked to the rep probably just got freshman/transfer mixed up, like when ucla came out early and all the freshman were on this board freaking out hahaha. i just checked and my status hadn’t changed. again, why would they say they were releasing in late april and then release a whole month early?

I talked to a rep today and she said some decisions would be released on April 6th.

Don’t give me any crap if it doesn’t happen but that’s what she said.

I follow UC Davis on twitter and asked them and they tweeted me back saying," Hello there! #UCDavis transfer admission decisions will be released bet late March and mid-April. We’re working hard on 'em!"

1netruesole - well, the decisions DID come out, but it was for freshmen…

April 6th, woooooooo! 2nd pick!

I wish it was like UCSB where the freshmen and transfer decisions came around at the same time yesterday…=[

lol again I apologize guys. I’ll be the first to admit when I was wrong. The rep did talk to me and told me the 23rd, and clearly that isn’t the case…unless they plan on releasing admission decisions within the next couple of hours haha.

Anyway, let’s just grind it out and hope for the best.

Btw anyone check out the UC Davis iphone app? I don’t have it, but my friends that go to Davis do and say it’s pretty nifty. I’ve read about it and it does seem pretty cool.

UCSD came out today!! =)
