<p>Get a new one if you want to. I don't see anything wrong with it. The only thing I would wonder about is if you're going away to school and wouldn't be around to care for it. If that's not an issue, go ahead and don't feel guilty. Everyone handles sadness in their own way.</p>
<p>Definitely wait a few months...seriously, after my dog died two years ago, I thought I wanted another one right away, but yo need time to deal with it...after a few months you'll be ready for a new one...give it time...and i'm sorry for your loss i know how you feel.</p>
<p>I'm an animal lover myself. My dog is going to be 3 years old on Jan. 5th, and I love him to death. I don't know what I would do if he died, so I can connect with you in that way. I'm sorry for your loss, but know that he/she is in a good place now.</p>
