<p>Any other debaters around here? What kinds of competitions do you do?</p>
<p>Also, how do you get your club to be officially recognized by the NFL? My advisor is complete crap and doesn't know anything about debating or public speaking (she's just in it for the extra money), so she hasn't helped out at all.</p>
<p>debate! i do LD, and have done policy. I do national tournaments, local stuff is dumb in my opinion if you live in a place like i do.</p>
<p>Sup theoneo, I do debate at my school. Im not fully sure but you probably should contact the league if you want to start participating in the national tournaments. Also check if there are any leagues withing your state. Im am almost 100% sure that they have state debate leagues in Jersey. Get your school to go to the national LD debates they're awesome!</p>

<p>We've already sent our application for affiliation to the NFL and I've already contacted the President of the NJFL. Thanks for the advice, though, pyroman.</p>

Well thats good, about the national tournaments, I dont think that you advisor has to attend you can go by yourselves if you guys can get judges. I really would recommend them, they simply are on another level and something that you just cant get from state tournaments.</p>
