I'm spending 7 weeks at a debate camp this summer.
I guess my question is ... does this effectively demonstrate my total love and passion for debate, or will admissions officers think this is overkill? (And yes, spending my summer like that is worth it).

If you apply using the common app, it asks for institutes you've attended, and debate camp would be listed. But, when I filled out mine, I didn't put how long it was (2 and a half weeks).

It might mean more to schools that have established teams like Whitman. You could always write your essay about debate. I wrote one supplement essay about debate, and mentioned my camp experience.

Well, if you are like me.
