Debit Cards instead of Credit cards?

<p>Most of the Visa/Mastercard debit cards can be used to buy things without a PIN if you select the "credit" option.</p>

<p>Yeah I know, I was saying about the kind that don't have that. I know my roommate in college had her pin written on her card. </p>

<p>I don't even have mine signed, I have ask for ID written in there... however i'd say you swipe it yourself 50% of the time, and of the remaining 50% they only ask for a very small portion, but I always thank them for asking when they do.</p>

<p>Doing things that temporarily lower your credit score is ok. Like applying for financial accounts that require credit checks, utilizing credit lines, etc.</p>

<p>Like I said earlier, the score is just a number, what is more important is whats in the actual report. One hard pull may lower your score but creditors won't pay too much attention to it. Three hard pulls in a year though raises flags.</p>
