Thanks for all the tips. I already do some of them, but there are definitely some that I can implement, or do a little better. I have always gotten really good grades, but I’m not a “gifted” math brain. I have to grind more than some other students who get good grades (totally fine with me). Also, just to clarify, I am currently at a CC, not in HS. Thanks again for all the advice and encouragement!

You know, I’m sorry, but I missed that. My bad. I wouldn’t want to steer you wrong. I would talk to someone in your school to see how other graduates from your program fared at UW. My concern is having you take credit for prereqs that aren’t as rigorous as those taken by students who started at UW. Not being as prepared as other students could put you at a disadvantage. I’m not saying you shouldn’t do it, but I’d talk to someone who is familiar with outcomes before making this decision. It may take you a little longer to graduate from UW.

Good luck.

I totally agree. I will definitely talk to a few faculty members to get their take. The one upside to my situation, if you can call it that, is that I won’t be able to take any of my Physics classes until I get to university, so I might still be able to get some of that “rigorous preparation” you are referring to. I guess my main focus should be on the Calculus at this point, and pushing myself as much as possible.
