I am in the midst of trying to decide where to go to college next year. I have a fairly good scholarship at Northeastern University. Calculated out, I could graduate with a masters degree in architecture from Northeastern with $70,000 in debt - not including money earned through work, additional scholarships, and co-op salary. Is this a manageable amount of debt? I would go to NU in a heartbeat if money were not an issue! My other option is a school that I did not particularly like but would allow me to graduate debt free. I would really appreciate any input!

My son is at northeastern and I think it is a great college. However, I would always recommend to find a college where you are not taking on debt. Find out what your payment will be on your student debt when you graduate. Then compare it to the salary you would get after a masters from each college. That should give you your answers, will your parents be able to help you if the debt is too much?
