i'm also hoping for 2300+. i have my fingers crossed because i didn't really prepare, but only because i've already sent in all my scores from the first time i took it (this was the second).

math: pretty easy. -1 to -2
reading: as usual, tough!! for me anyway. but better than may 07...-3 to -8
writing: not bad because it wasn't as easy as it usually is (last time i got ZERO wrong! woo). -1 to -3...but i didn't finish my essay. how much do they penalize you for that?

I heard something that for the essay if you write in cursive or the more you write the better your score. I got this from Wikipedia so I'm not sure of this, but hey it seems pretty logical.

My essay was trash. I only made one decent point and ran out of time before I could make anymore. The writing multiple choice, I'm sure I did fine on though. Critical reading, I can't even predict, but I figure it will be around a 600-630. Math, I omitted 0 and could have possibly gotten 1 wrong.

My case is similar to Riyia's. Essay was horrible from a 'meaning' point of view (I didn't know what to say even though I knew how to say it.). I ended up showing how nicely I can write and the various sentense structures I knew and all that crap. Hopefully I'll get a 6 just for ok English.

Critical Reading minus A LOT
Math -0, omit 0
Writing Multiple Choice -3 max -4

I'm so worried about writing. Writing was supposed to be my best section, but I think I completely screwed up my essay - and I might have gotten a couple MC questions wrong.

dude.. im not ever sure how my essay is gonna look.. my examples were kinda vague... but i definitely had the best quote ever.. and i got it from the Official SAT Study Guide!

I wasn't sure if I was allowed to quote? Instead of doing a direct quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson("a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds"), I ended up paraphrasing it and referencing him.

I was hoping for a >2300 but boy, that doesn't seem possible. :( I might retake it. Hopefully my estimation is on the low, rather than high, side.

Haha nice quote Riyia - I used Thoreau/Emerson as an example for the essay topic I assume you had too - Transcendentalists tended to not like anything established...

CR = 770-800 (-2)
M = 800
W = 800? (probably 11/-1 to be safe)

Well, my quote was like this: "Everyone starts at negative zero on knowledge" The quote signifies that people need to unlearn before they can start learning....and that shows that they need to get rid of assumptions and bad info.. before they have knowledge towards a topic!
