Dec 13th Decision.

I got in! Anyone else? Oh parent2noles I know your very knowledgeable about FSU. May I ask you what are some good dorms, where I share a room and bathroom with the least amount of people?

CONGRATULATIONS!
Put in your housing application asap to get the lowest available number.
Any of the newly renovated or rebuilt dorms will be nice. The newest dorms for 2007 are Wildwood and DeGraff.

can i apply for housing without paying the 200 dollar deposit?

You will be required to submit a $225 prepayment after you have successfully completed the application process. If you fail to submit the required prepayment within 10 calendar days of applying for Housing, the agreement will be canceled.

Most of the deposit is refundable if you change your mind:

D. REFUND POLICY/INITIAL SEMESTER 1) If written notice of decision not to be enrolled at Florida State University is received PRIOR to the official opening date of the residence halls, a refund of all fees paid will be made LESS: $50 if cancellation is received through May 1 ; $75 if cancellation is received May 2 through July 1 ; $100.00 if cancellation is received July 2 and prior to the official opening date of the residence halls. (Students contracting for the Spring 2008 term only must submit their cancellation notice prior to January 3, 2008 and will receive a refund of all fees paid less $100) 2) After Official Opening Date: If written notification of withdrawal from the University is received in the housing office after official opening date and before Friday ending the first full week of classes, a 50% obligation of one semester housing fees will apply. No refunds or waiver of fees will be made after Friday ending the first full week of classes.

Congratulations! :D

Welcome to the tribe. You are soon to be part of an academic family that stretches all the way back to 1843 and the namesake of a very proud People. Cybermom's info on dorms and the all-important housing priority number is correct! Don't forget that east-side dorms require a meal plan.

Now...before you get too giddy, remember that all offers of admission are conditional. Do not get senioritis and lay off the academic work the rest of the year. FSU will carefully review your final transcript...after graduation. Make sure it's in good shape.

You might want to start thinking of a laptop computer...and an FSU license plate. ;)

Saving up for a laptop right now :), still getting straight A's.

o-o, so what do you think will happen if you get in F i lets say ap physics?

Whoa, I called FSU today and they told me the average GPA for incomming freshmen was 3.8 and average ACT was 27! I did summer term and thats probably the reason why I got in.

omg. what am I going to do. I can't drop that class

I'd suggest contacting Admissions and see what your options are. They will find out, better now - when you have options - than later when options may become few.

Good luck! Stay with the work...
