<p>we went to an information session sometime ago and they said something about wanting applications in by december 15? and then there was that december 1 recommended deadline... does anyone know anything about december 15 being a priority deadline?</p>
<p>Way back in May, and several times since, I posted that Harvard admission officers have been telling students in this year's cycle that it's helpful to get the FIRST part of their application (the student's contact information) in earlier than the final deadline to facilitate scheduling interviews. The deadline officially is still the turn of the year, and you will still have until the first test date of the new year to complete standardized testing. But if you can let the admission office know right away that you are submitting an application this year, with more materials to follow, the office can help line up an interview for your sooner. </p>
