I recently decided to apply to UT-Austin [just in time lol], and I noticed that the deadlines for a lot of scholarships/Honors Program were Dec 1st. For the honors program, however, it said that every applicant is considered. If the deadline is Dec 1st, how is everyone considered?

Furthermore, will I still be able to be considered for scholarships even though the deadline has passed?

I think they mean that everyone who applies for the honors program is considered, not everyone who applies to the university. Like, they won’t throw out your honors application without looking at it.

I’m confused. Why would you be considered for scholarships after the deadline has passed? It’s been a year since I applied, but I’m pretty sure that you can’t apply for something that is past its deadline.

You can, however, try to get scholarships from outside sources. There are tons of scholarships out there that aren’t connected to UT and its December 1st deadline.
