anyone take it?

Did u take it, impromptu? how was it?

it wasnt so bad.. but i ran out of time

I took it as well.Found it quite straightforward. I was kinda going through it slowly and carefully and ended up finishing it 5 minutes earlier. I've discussed it with some friends who took other foreign language ||s and seems to me it was much easier then french&german. However, there were a couple of tricky ones in fill in the word section but the reading ones were quite obvious. best of luck all:)

considering i spent 5 minutes studying for it... i think it was a breeze! of course i wouldnt have any clue if i messed up so i could have gotten a lot wrong but at least i finished, and i thought it was pretty fun :)

oh, and... anyone know how its scored?

200-800 scale...

Were there n e hard questions in the grammar/usage/fill-in-the-blanks section? And is n e 1 taking AP Italian?

I couldn't take it b/c parents r sick and tired of paying for tests and my school doesn't even require any subject tests... it sucks.... and im sure no 1 in my class took it... they're so behind... italian 1 students can write better compositions than my italian 4 class... how sad... :(

im in ap italian and in case you couldnt figure out i was wondering if someone knew how many you could miss and get an 800, or 750... i just have no clue about the curve.

I believe that it isn't a very generous curve like Math II obviously, but it's within reason....

By the way, could u guys check if these sentences r right? our teacher is very mediocre and sometimes it feels like u're not getting the right stuff... u know what i mean?

they're just simple sentences that we have to do for a project (even our teacher stressed out that they had to be simple) and i was wondering if right tense, n e improvments, like wrong expression, or ano. way of saying it....

where r u guys in ap italian, fromwhenceyoucame?

Yes, I took the Italian Subject Test.

However, I have never taken an Italian class of any sort. I lived in Italy for 6 years from 92-96, so I am still pretty fluent when it comes to understanding it. Unfortunately, I am so out of practice that I cannot have a normal conversationb because I cannot think of words.

Anyone know about the curve on the test/how leanient the grading is?

Thank you,
--Tara

well my ap italian class isnt exactly following a "plan" of any sort. i mean recently we've just been reading operas. i think we learned all the grammar there is to know for the ap last year, or maybe the year before, and right now we've sorta forgotten it. oh and so far we tried to do the ap "tell a story about this picture" thing once, and it was pretty rough on us.

tara, you are SO lucky you lived in italy! where? and there was another post in this forum with all the curves for all the sat2s, although i didnt actually understand it. i think its either if your score is higher than 85% of other people's scores you get an 800, or if you get 85% correct you get an 800. i havent seen any real explanation for it.

^^^^^^^^^^^ Thanks. I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow morning, I didn't quite understand that curve or how accurate it really is.

I lived in Como, Italy (Lago di Como?), just 5 minutes from the Switzerland border....ALLLL the way up North.
