Dec. SAT and the UC App

Hello CC. I applied to UCs through the UC application and I have several questions regarding the SAT/ACT.

I scored an 1850 on the SAT, but a 33 on the ACT. My ACT score is considerably higher. But will UC's care that there's a huge gap between the two scores? Or will they just only completely consider the highest one? Would it look better to narrow the gap? I also have decent subject test scores: 800 in Math II and a 760 in Chemistry if that is of any help.

I signed up for the Dec. SAT, so on the UC app where I self-report SAT scores, I indicated that I'm taking the December SAT. However, I feel retaking is futile because I haven't had the chance to study. If I change my UC app after I submitted it (which I have the option to) to indicate that I am no longer taking any future tests, will UCs know I've initially signed up but decided to not take it? Will they know I've made changes to the app? Or will they only see the updated one? Also, do you think I should just take the SAT anyway, even if there's a chance I may hardly do better or even do worse?

dont retake it
they’ll look at your higher score, the ACT
so I would make the change, and not worry about what they’ll think about it
I’m sure they don’t have time to be worrying about the meanings of every little change to your application

Thank you. Do you think privates would care about the gap?

Most of your private schools will utilize score choice. Don’t put down the SAT I on the Common App & don’t report it.
