December 09 Biology Discussion

no isnt it leaves, stem and roots?

lois do you remember the question or anything about it?

wasnt it the one which asked which step is the one with the organic commpounds.
?

“No, I put what you guys put. That water flows in and that it is active transport. There was a ques with a pic of a chromosome and I put 2 dna molecules and that it was mitotic metaphase”

Wait, I thought the question was asking about the part connecting them? I put centromere… crap?

leaves roots and stems arent tissues

There were two questions, one asked about the centromere and 1 about the number of DNA molecules.

Hippopotamus, yes there was one asking for that and yes the answer was centromere

what was the one with like what food would provide most energy for the human population?

i put rice and beans.

me too what was the last eco passage about?

?? what are u talking aboutl;

the last e experiment, sry in the act forums we call them passages

it was about insulin and ephiphrine.

clan question:
where will the black appear first???

i put stomach, but not sure if thats right becuase
it would have to pass through the gills…right?

l0issanger:
i put wet membrane, because on one
of the barron’s practice test had soemthing like this…

I put that the black would appear in the gills first.

I was really unsure for the most energy in food one? For some reason I chose the option with pigs, but I realized that can’t be right -_-

xemiry:

no…i’m pretty sure it was the rice and grain…to provide for the mst
ppl…pigs won’t last very long.
also, i think it was because rice and grain store starch, a sugar–an energy.

what about that wierd digarm that asked for the msot
concentration of organic stuff??

i started running out of time and bubbled in III.
can that be right?

i put 2.
i think.

What did you guys get for…

-the after the fire one? I remember choice A was lichens/mosses
-does the water move in or out of the bag?
-the hormone containing iodine or something (it was #2 on the test, adrenal/thyroid?)
-which two were most closely related? (was it e.coli/humans because e.coli is in the intestines?)
-the chance of the man getting huntingtons
-the one with the farmer getting promised that a bull wouldnt have a defective allele

Fire: Lichen/Moss

Water moves into the bag (5% concentration outside, 10% inside - means there is less water inside than there is outside, creating osmotic pressure)

Hormone containing iodine is thyroxine, made by the thyroid gland

Most closely related were chicken and lizard (FARBM)

Chance of the man getting Huntington’s was 50%

Bull was heterozygous, farmer was cheated - which I found funny that they included.
