Hi,
Im auditioning on the December 10th audition for MT and I was wondering if any other CC members were as well! This is my first audition this year so I’m EXTREMELY nervous but really excited to get things started off with Hartt!

-Also, for past auditonees/accepted students: What was audition day like for you? How was the dance audition? How long did it take for you to hear back? And if you decided to attend Hartt, are you happy with the program, teachers, fellow students etc.?
-Sorry about so many questions lol, but if you don’t ask you’ll never know, right?

S auditioned around Dec. 10th last year and was notified of his acceptance right before Christmas. Sorry I can’t answer any ??? about his audition, his Dad went with him to that one.

@MTguyMom- ok thanks! That makes me excited yet nervous! @futurereno- nice! Well I guess I’ll be seeing you there! Is Hartt one of your top choices?

Yea it’s one of my favorites too! Im only applying to 6 schools but i’m keeping my fingers crossed! Look for me on audition day! I’ll be wearing a purple shirt and black vest with black pants-most likely! lol

Hey everyone I’m auditioning too! I’m really excited, nervous for dancing but on the paper it said it was only for placement (-: I didn’t get academically accepted yet, I applied on October 28th, I didn’t know you were academically accepted there as well, but I assume if you get into MT theyll let you in haha. I’m applying to 8 for MT (except Temple for a BFA in acting with a MT concentration) They let in a lot last year so I’m hoping they do the same but less accept for a smaller class size. Break a leg to everyone!

You’re not alone beutifullifels! lol I am beyond nervous–but it’s all about us having fun doing what we love, right? Hope to make your accquaintance tomorrow! :]

Hi guys! Sorry I’m late to this thread! I am a freshman Musical Theater major at Hartt right now and I actually helped out with the December 10th audition so some of you probably saw me! I can answer any questions you have about the program! :)

Random question but what musical are they putting on this year? How fast are they with sending out acceptance and rejection letters? Last year i know they sent them out before christmas. I hope they do that this year. Also how many normally audition for the program. Someone at the audition said they let in about 100 last year and 60 accepted

The musicals this year are Pippin, Sunday in the Park With George, Time After Time (New Musical), Nine, and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Early Notification letters have been sent out and received right before Christmas for the past two years so I’d imagine the same would go for this year. As far as numbers I can’t give actual figures on what was accepted, but the numbers you have are for both the MT and Actor Training program combined. The Theatre Division freshman class was 60 this year (very high rate of offers being accepted, so numbers to be accepted as freshman this year may decrease).

Has anyone from the Dec 10 audition heard yet? I’ve been trying to distract myself but now that I’m on christmas break I have nothing to do but sit here anxiously waiting… Lol

NOPE. Its killing me. Cause if i get in here im going to cross some other schools off my audition list which will make my like wayyyyyy less stressful

i know of a guy who was accepted today as a performance major! (he plays trumpet) He told me they called him, and the lady he spoke to said his letter would come within a week. I wonder what this means for the EA MT folks. Will we get decision letters/phone call within a week?

A few students in my class got their letters on Christmas Eve. I don’t know if that’s going to be the same this year but it should be around that date!
