<p>How did it go??</p>
<p>I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the math was compared to the practice tests. But, I found the reading to be strangely difficult. I think I did pretty well though.</p>

<p>I took it I think it went well and I did notice that the math was easier than it was on the practice tests and the reading was kind of hard, I guess.</p>
<p>BTW, how many questions did you guys omit in total? I omitted 2 questions but now I think I maybe should have left a few more blank since there were some I wasn’t sure of.</p>

<p>I took it today too. I did well on math and verbal, but was surprised at how hard the reading comp. was for me. Oh well. I’m trying not to think about it until scores come–I’m sooooo nervous!</p>
<p>I agree…especially the second section of math was very easy. I’m glad about that because I was pretty nervous for the math part since I’m usually slow. The vocabulary also was not as difficult as expected. As for the reading comprehension, it was a lot harder than expected. Did anyone else find the two poetry (esp. the second one) to be difficult?<br>
Oh, and the essay was easy too, thankfully. Not that much space to write it however.</p>

<p>I was mad because there were 3 poems in total, and while I like poetry, I never have anything intelligent to say about it lol

<p>I’m thanking myself for studying vocab~ I think I got most of the questions right (although I know for a fact now that I got “emphatic” wrong… narrowed it down to “forceful” and “precise” and I picked precise. fail)</p>
<p>Did anyone get that “sprinkle is to drops as…” analogy? I think I picked “scatter is to particles”. It made more sense than “bloom is to flowers” and “tinkle is to bells” anyway. “waiter is to chef” was also confusing… none of the answer choices sounded quite right. But other than that, verbal was pretty good.</p>
<p>Extremely easy SSAT. The October one I found to be difficult, the November to be moderate and this one easier than all practice tests. For example the last synonym was stealthily and the right answer was furtive. The reading comp, is usually my best subject and will continue to be throughout this I believe. The hardest passage was the medley of poems. After reading the question enough, I found the right answer. The math, usually my worst subject was exceptionally easy, and after studying from the Peterson UL SSAT book, made it even easier. The November one which I thought was moderate, I got mid 80’s, this one I hope and think I got 90’s</p>
<p>The essay was easy, the math was easy, the reading comprehension went fairly well. However, the vocab didn’t go to well. I’ll just have to wait and see.</p>
<p>Essay was cake.The Math and Verbal were a breeze. Overall, I left only a few ommitted. The reading was much harder then I expected, and definitely more treacherous than last year’s december ssat.</p>
<p>I took the SSATs today, too. The math was so much easier than on the practice test :D, and the reading comprehension was a breeze for me. That said, reading comprehension has always been my strongest skills lie. Vocab was just ok, but whenever I took a practice test I would always be nervous, and then I would get a fairly good score (praying that this was the case).
I’m sad about my essay though. I took the SSAT next to five of my friends, and at the break we compared prompts – all of my friends seemed to have cliche sayings frequently discussed in any literature class, but mine was a really challenging thing to draw current and historical events to.
Can’t wait to get my scores back! Does anyone know how far in advance the emailed scores are released in comparison to the ones that are sent via snail mail?</p>
<p>math was super easy (both sections) and vocab was easy too (except i missed atonement… darn), but i omitted 2 analogies-- one about a is to b as dauber is to c (no clue what dauber meant), and something else that i had no clue about.</p>
<p>reading comprehension… that’s another story. oh dear. i guessed (after narrowing it down to 2) on so many of those questions! esp the poetry passage & the one about the tornado… yikes. i wouldn’t be surprised if i got like negative 28457384 percentile on that section 
overall, everything was peachy except for reading comprehension, i think that screwed me over :$</p>

<p>SSAT officials probably saw the Oct and Nov SSAT threads where many claimed the tests were super easy and everyone was scoring in the upper 90s. Looks like they took corrective measures. :D</p>
<p>I heard that the November test wasn’t that easy.</p>
<p>The math was actually incredibly easy, like it should have been lower level (the second part had like 5 trick questions though, near the end). Vocab + analogies were reasonably easy, but vocab is usually my strength…
They made up for it with the reading comp, though. Brutal-- at least in my opinion, sounds like others did perfectly fine</p>

Reading: Macbeth, really?!?</p>
<p>Time management was my weak spot. I had like 18 questions when the 10 minute warning was sounded in reading. >:(</p>
<p>With the reading, if you get one wrong, you just kissed an 800 goodbye. Don’t know what happens if you skip one and get all others correct. Other sections are much more forgiving.</p>
<p>7Dad, I’ve even heard of kids getting all of the reading correct and getting something crazy like a 785. Sometimes, I guess the best just isn’t good enough!</p>

<p>& i took this test on a fee waiver, i’d be cheating the system if i got another one, so that’s a no-go. i guess there’s nothing to do but wait and see-- i doubt my parents are willing to drive me for an hour one-way to the testing site again, either
i have no one to blame but myself, so … if i actually do horrendously, i guess there’s always the local public IB school
but then again i did well on verbal/math. maybe that’ll pull me through :-)</p>
