@vivsters: only if you ordered expedited results (it was 20 dollars extra)
i didn’t

whats that?? im not sure if i ordered that…

on the score reports thing, it has ‘student email’ and ‘student normal’. theres no date next to student email, but next to student normal it says 12/21/10.

so for student normal, does that mean they mail it to you with an envelope in your mailbox?? or is it still email?

student normal is mail
and no it wont be emailed to everyone on tuesday, thats just for people who paid $20 extra. if you chose expedited, you’d know – we’ll have to wait for another week or so

Ugh I think there’s still a week left until the scores are in… tic tock tic tock
Yes ssthebeast, jerryeps, and DiveAlive, for the kerosene problem it was definitely (E). I am 100% positive on that. :D

The scores are released on the 21st, however, it takes time for it to be mailed to you. So the test board said the 29th would be the latest date that you would receive your results.

HAHA @angela2010peace,

I wonder why we’re worried about math when we should be paranoid of our RC outcomes. I am.

Knowing my luck, it won’t come a day before the 29th. Lol

9:56 EST 12/20. Just got our emailed results for the Dec. test. :-)

@jerryeps
WOW I know right I was freaking out about the reading and vocab. And I thought I was confident with the math section? Oh well, I’m planning on re-taking in January one way or another because I’m pretty sure I failed the December SSAT. Gahhh

@heps1996- Same luck here :D

@Sue22-How did you do?

Of course when I get it, I’m going to be super scared to open it I could have gotten a 2000 or a 2300, I really don’t know lol

Not me, but my child. A substantial (48 point/11%ile) overall improvement over the November test. Kid suffers from test anxiety and so is one of those who benefits from taking multiple tests.

Here are my scores. I expected verbal to be higher than RC and Math. The RC was particularly tough and math was time consuming. I am not planning on retaking.

Your SSAT Scores

Upper Level Score Range : 500-800

Verbal Score 785

What do you think chances HADES?

Sue, my d is the same and will likely take the SAT every month starting in 10th grade! (Kidding). She also showed huge improvement and October’s test superscored with December’s puts her well above any “threshold” any school would have. Thank goodness that’s over. Now she can relax and tackle that mound of essays.

…tackle those essays without worrying that her ssat scores will put her at a disadvantage. (Edit option isn’t avaiable on phone.)

How much do SSAT scores vary for schools w/ lower SSAT averages? I imagine the higher the average, the less variance, but I might be wrong. If a school has a 80%ile average, what score is too low to even have a shot?

Neato, which schools would “superscore” SSAT? Do they specify that on their admissions policies?

@gorillaman: I am also in the 8th Grade.

DAndrew, while I’ve never seen it in writing, when I called about it last year, all the schools that I asked said they did. One even said that their computer did it automatically. Remember, the report the schools get looks different than the one the families get. If you want to know for sure, you should call. The receptionist can probably answer that question. Or maybe gemmaV could shed some light on it. They probably see all of them.

YEAH!!! SUPER HAPPY!
Got a 99% percentile overall!
99% reading
98% verbal
93% math
Total: 2316

That means don’t fear peoples…I skipped lots of questions and still got this score!

congrats, beatlesforever!

did you struggle with RC at all? because you got 99th percentile and i thought it was incredibly hard… or are you just fantastic at reading comp
