How did you improve your Math score so much? I really need to have a big jump in Math and I’m not sure how other than by doing practice questions and maybe reviewing weak points…

@VaishS
I’m sorry but I really didn’t do anything like studying to improve it, I just think my first time was a fluke because I have always been pretty good in math and I was surprised to see it below a 30. I’m assuming you are a junior because I don’t know of many colleges that will accept scores after December. My advice is to pay as much attention as possible in your math class and if this is your first time taking it then don’t worry you will definitely do better next time because a lot of people stress out their first time and don’t do as well. I came in thinking “I’ve done pretty good on my last test, I know more than before, I know what to expect, I got this, and if I don’t I got my last test to fall back on.”

Ok maybe that is it! Im a sophomore, and this was my first time taking it so hopefully when I take it in Feb I will be more confident. Im also doing a few practice test and reviewing geometry (my weakest) so that should help! I got a 30 (hoping for a 35-36) this was defenitly my worst section, even though math is normally something I’m decent at lol. Thank you!

Got mine finally
33 composite

@Vaishs How do you pronounce your name?

@XCBro4Life
My name is Vaishnavi (Vaish is short) v-ay-sh-n-ah-v-ih is a phonetic pronucation if that helps!

Hey everyone, go check out my Feb. 8th ACT Thread.

Got mine back. 35 composite, with 36 in Reading, English, and Science. But an 8 on the essay??

Is this normal? I mean, I thought my essay was fine. They said it was “rigidly structured”.

Glittervine, did you just get your score on Wednesday? My S is still waiting for his score in Connecticut. It seems like he is the only one still waiting.

In GA and still no scores… Do they ever cancel without explanation?

No, I think it was Saturday? I’m sure his scores will come soon.

I called the ACT folks and they basically said they continue to grade tests still have 3 more weeks to post scores and that all we can do is check every wednesday and friday morning. If they haven’t been posted by Feb 7th then call back. Great. I do hope they come soon.

If anybody can answer this question please help!! I will be taking the ACT again on Feb 8th. I’m 99% sure I will receive my scores online on Feb 24th cause I always get my scores on a Monday 16 days after I take the test. I’m in a situation. If I score higher I will get a full ride to my dream college. But the scholarship deadline is March 1st. I have to notify them that I scored higher and they must receive the scores from ACT. Here’s my question(s) … when i registered online for the upcoming test in Feb, I listed this college as one of my 4 colleges I want my scores sent to. Will it get there before the 27th? And if not, is there a way I can make it get there on time or before? IF ANYONE KNOWS PLEASE HELP ME! Thanks

jjonesjonny65, last year when my son took the ACT, he got an email from one of the 4 schools he’d had the scores sent to, congratulating him on his score—but here’s the interesting part—he got the email about 3 days BEFORE the scores were available to him online! The scores were available 16 days after testing, but the email from the college came several days prior to that! Maybe it just depends on what day the particular college receives scores from ACT?

1mississippi , thanks for the info! That really gives me rest hearing that because my guidance counselor told me that she thought the colleges might get the score before I even can. So thanks!

And if anyone else also knows please give me some more info!
