“You’re already at [high level]. Our work here is kind of done” is precisely the mentality at our middle school, too. Honestly, my experience has been (and I once had an administrator tell me flat out) that public schools do a pretty good job with average kids, but a lousy job with anyone at either extreme. So far, the list job has varied only in the details between small districts and large ones!

25 the first time (M24 E26 S25 R25) and i haven’t got my scores for this one yet. American maths is nothing like english maths so i think was the hardest. I thought the Science this time was very easy but you never know until you get your scores. I intend to keep settting it till i get a 30 and seeing as im 14 I have got while before college.

Best luck with your scores when they come out! :)

My scores are not out yet. Not even multiple-choice scores. Is this something to worry about?
…I was registered standby (international), does that make a difference?

D’s December 2013 scores finally posted. Anyone know how colleges superscore the ACT? I know a few schools on D’s list do. Not much difference between Sept. and Dec. but she got a 26 in december with a 30/26/26/23 and a 25 in september with a 32/22/23/22 so if they superscored her she would have a 26.75 rather than a 26.25 - does the higher score round up to a 27 or is it still a 26? Writing score was a 10 both times so combined writing/english was only a point off too - 31 in Sept. and 30 in december.

D is done either way, she’s a senior waiting on decisions but i just need to know if she should send both scores or just the second one.

The main schools in my state would round the 26.75 up to a 27. I’m sure there are some that don’t, but even my state’s scholarship program does round! So, it’s more likely that your daughter’s schools would round up too, but you’ll have to check with the individual school to see if they do it differently! :)

When calculating the composite scores, a number ending on .5 and .75 is rounded up and one ending in .25 is rounded down. i.e. 23.25 is rounded down to 23, 23.5 is rounded up to 24.
