DECEMBER 2008 SAT Subject Test: Math Level 1

6 too :)
Assuming we got 1 wrong...

(questions)50-1(wrong answer)=49
and each question is 1 pt so 49-6(omitted)
43
(I think they dont take off 1/4 for omitted like reasoning test)
According to spark notes thats a
740
:)

I think i did it right

First of all i made this thread to discuss the difficulty of the test, a "what did u all think of it?" (cuz i dont think we are supposed to talk about questions!!!)

anyhoo. I had 10 blank soo in the last 10 seconds i randomly bubbled them in. Before u call me crazy let me explain (and if any of u used barrons u probably know this) if there were 10 left and u didn't know the answers and each of them had 5 possible answers (given) the probability of u getting any right was 2 out of 10, which meant u would likely get 2 right and 8 wrong. so thats +2 and -2, which brought u back to zero. of the 340 that i did do, i think i was 90%-95% sure on them. so im guessing i got at least a 600.

I only guess on two questions that I can narrow it down to two answers; If I get them both wrong, thats only -.5 for the penalty which still round up to the same raw if I had omitted the two of them.

do they release the curve early?

what do u think was the hardest on the exam

whens the soonest date that you will be able to access the answer key and curve.. will it be before you get your actual score??? anyone know?

does anyone remember any answer choices to the hot air balloon question? i put in something like 89, but i can't remember any of the answer choices.

I think 75 was an answer choice too... or something in the 70s.

crap on that hot air baloon one i think i used the wrong funcion, was it sin or cos?

cos i believe

You could have used tangent or the law of sines, because it asked for the distance between the two people.

Oh God , I didn't prepare for Math 1 and didn't take my graphic calculator , and it was just like HELL out there ! what's the stuff about triangle and these two people apart from it ?

Was there a question of the number of (hockey?) games?

i left 4 questions and wrong at at least 2 >.< I hate to say that my Math 2 is greater than my Math 1

I'm pretty sure there was a probability question about the number of baseball games.

^ Um, maybe that was on Math 2?

i think the one about the baseball/hockey games was probably on math II, because i don't remember that question.

so for the hot air balloon one, the answers were 89, ~75? anyone remember any others?

if i got 6 wrong, and omited none, what do u think my score will be?

people ill take it in january.
is it hard or just tricky?
whats the best preparation book?
is it harder than sat math section?
tnx

yes harder than sat math section, princeton review, its tricky and some hard concepts, good luck

I got a 700...don't know whether I'm happy or mad about that.
