December 2009 ACT CURVES

This test was AN EXACT COPY of the October 2008 test. Go search it if you want proof. All the questions that were discussed were exactly the same. Exactly!

Therefore, the curve will be the same. From the October 2008 scores thread,

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/596790-october-2008-score-thread-4.html?highlight=October+2008

You can basically predict the curve of the test

This will most likely be the science curve. I know this because all of these were actual scores that people were given. In fact, this will be the worst possible scenario (since it is possible - though unlikely - that missing 2 or 3 questions for example, could have yielded a 34.

Science
36: 40
35: 39
34: 38
33:37
32: 36
31: 35
30: 34

For reading, I know that -1 will being u down to a 34 :(

Reading:
36: 40
35: ---
34: 39

OH MY GOD DUDE. THATS NOT FAIR…what if someone had taken it on that date!!! ***. check this out…

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/586252-october-25-2008-act-discussion-english.html

***…this really ticked me off. totally not fair. the whole test is apparently the same

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/586253-october-25-2008-act-discussion-math-3.html

Yes omg - this is just…shocking to put it lightly

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/586255-october-25-2008-act-discussion-reading-6.html

for reading

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/586256-october-25-2008-act-discussion-science.html

Omg. Its the exact same all the way through…
Looks like I got 1 wrong on English: 35?
And 0 wrong on Math: 36?
And 2 wrong on Reading: 34?

And I’m not going to bother looking at science… I’ll pray for a 29.

i see that many of the sections have similar passages. but it doesnt appear to be an exact copy. does anyone have the scale for each section though?

Haha yes I have uncovered the truth! But still though, we don’t know if it is a carbon copy, just most of it is the same. I can’t find my official score report from Oct. 08, but I am looking at the online one right now. Is there any important information I should share?

yeah, whats the link to the online one?

Well, it’s my personal score report, so…

oh, but they dont give a scale?

I saw this post in the October 2008 ACT Scores thread:

2008 not 2009 lol

if its true that this has same curve as oct 2008, does anyone have complete scales for each section of oct 2008

^^I meant to say 2008. By instinct I typed 2009. Oops.

It is a carbon copy. Trust me.

And since the October 08 test was never released, no one has the official chart of the curves. However, u can infer what the curves will be based on peoples’ scores.

so does this mean the upcoming February test could be a recycled test? nice find btw mabs

Yes it could though I doubt they would use two recycled tests in a row.

Mabs, -1 reading will not be a 34 because someone’s score posted was a 35 in reading.

" I am so relieved!

English- 34 (+5)
Math- 32 (+2)
Reading- 35 (+6)
Science- 33 (+2)

C- 34 (+4) "

You can only get a 35 if you miss -1 or more…
